CHIEF SUNDAY SAMPSON OKON. MBA, FCA, HND (MANAGING DIRECTOR)
QUALIFICATION
Chief Okon obtained the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Polytechnic, Calabar in 1982.
He passed the Professional Examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1985; became an associate member in the same year, and elected into Fellowship in 1996. Chief Okon has attended several courses on Computer and Information Technology organised by ICAN, and also holds MBA degree in Finance from the Federal University of Technology, Yola.
EXPERIENCE
Chief Okon has trained with the following firms and companies during his training: Messrs Onwufuju Giwa Osagie & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Messrs E. O. Orok & Co. (Chartered Accountants), Manilla Insurance Company Limited and United Bank for Africa Plc.
He has executed various professional jobs for large scale public and private organisations within Nigeria, such as; World Bank Assisted Development Projects, Whistle Blowing for Ashakacem Plc, The National Orientation Agency, Chinese Civil Engineering and Construction Company Limited, The Federal Polytechnic Mubi, Savannah Sugar Company Limited, Numan, Interstate Flour Mill Plc, New Nigerian Bank Limited, Adamawa Transport Company Limited, to mention a few; and was the consulting Chief Accountant for Nigeria Beverages Production Company Limited in 1989.
He was for some time, a part time lecturer with the defunct Modibbo Adama Campus of the University of Maiduguri, The Federal Polytechnic, Mubi and the Adamawa State Polytechnic, Yola. A member of ICAN Accreditation Team to the University of Maiduguri and the Federal Polytechnic Bauchi. Was appointed as a member of Taraba State Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the finances of the State Local Governments Joint Account (JAAC) from 2004 to 2007. Chief Okon is very versatile in accounting, auditing and tax matters with over 27years experience.
MR. SAMUEL U. JONATHAN FCA, ACTI, MBA
QUALIFICATION
Mr. Samuel Uwa was educated at the Polytechnic, Calabar and obtained the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy, 1982. He was also educated at the University of Ibadan where he bagged the MBA in Accounting and Finance in 1989.
Mr. Uwa passed the Professional Examinations of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in May 1984 and became an Associate member in 1985. In 1995 he was elected a Fellow of the Institute (ICAN). He is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
EXPERIENCE
Mr. Uwa has a vast experience at national and international levels on Accounting, Finance, Taxation and Procurements in both the Private and the Public sectors. He served in a firm of Chartered Accountants – Kunle Sonaike and Co., Lagos. Thereafter, he worked with the following organisations:
· Bursary Department, University of Cross River State (Now known as the University of Uyo) as Senior Accountant.
· Data Sciences Nigeria Limited, hardware/software computer marketing and consulting company, based in Lagos as Manager Finance and Controls.
· Mobil Producing Nigeria (a subsidiary of EXXONMOBIL Department and the Procurement Department. Here he was appointed as an International Trainer to Trainers on Procurements Package.
MAL. JIBRIL USENI, FCA, HND
QUALIFICATION
Mallam Useni attended the Kaduna Polytechnic, where he obtained his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy in 1986. He passed the Professional Examination of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1993; and was admitted as an Associate Member of the Institute in the same year. He is now a fellow of the institute.
EXPERIENCE
He has his training at Eyewumi, Rone & Co. (Chartered Accountants) and worked with Adamawa Transport Company Limited as an Accountant, Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination Board, where he rose to the positon of Chief Accountant before joining Sunny Okon & Co, and has a total of twenty (20) years experience in Accounting, Auditing and Taxation.
MR. INYANG ASUQUO EFFIONG ACA, HND, MBA
Mr. Effiong attended the Polytechnic, Calabar where he obtained the Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting in 1982. He became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) in 1999. He holds MBA from Federal University of Technology Yola (FUTY).
EXPERIENCE
Mr Effiong worked with the Federal Polytechnic, Mubi, where he rose to the position of Bursar before retiring to join Sunny Okon & Co and now a partner in the firm. He Effiong is vastly experienced in Auditing, Accountancy and Taxation, which he aquired pertially from his public service period and partly from his many years of practice as well as his local and international training and workshops. He is a major assets to the firm when it comes to issues of public service practices and has a total 26 years experience.
